The METACyt initiative provided $10M of support for the creation and extension of four Integrating Science and Technology Centers. These centers furnish greatly needed service functions for IU Bloomington, in addition to creating new research collaborations and deepening ties with the IU School of Medicine. The centers also provide much needed training in performing experiments in essential areas of the life sciences, so as to maximize campus research productivity.
