METACyt Research Nodes
Through December 2009, the METACyt initiative will invest approximately $25M in research and instrumentation support via five research nodes. These nodes take advantage of traditional areas of strength in IU Bloomington life sciences to strengthen our research base and to expand into newer areas of life sciences research. Life sciences research areas include cancer, systems biology, and nanobiology, to name just a few. New research programs aimed at creating national centers of excellence will form the focal areas of this research.
